The Wenatchee Wild is a Junior A hockey team who play in the British Columbia Hockey League.

The BCHL is a great league to earn a full ride scholarship at Universities across North America.

The Wild play in the 4,300 seat Town Toyota Center. “The Wolves Den” has provided loud support during their play in the NAHL (North American Hockey League) from 2008 - 2015 and recently in the BCHL (from 2015 to present).

The Wenatchee Wild are led by Head Coach Chris Clark.

Connor: Arvega, thanks for taking time with us. Where did you grow up?

Arvega Hovsepyan: Los Angeles, California.

C: What is your favorite NHL team?

AH: The Los Angeles Kings.

C: Who is your favorite NHL player and why?

AH: My favorite NHL player is Mitch Marner (right wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs) – I just love the way he plays, his skill, his speed. He’s an all-around team guy.

C: What is your earliest memory of hockey?

AH: Winning the Mite B championship in Orange County.

C: Who inspired you to want to play hockey at a higher level?

AH: I would say my dad – my dad is my hero and he inspires me every day.

C: What do you like about Wenatchee?

AH: It’s beautiful out here. I like everything about it, to be honest. It’s a beautiful place and I recommend that anyone should come up here.

C: What are your favorite places to eat in Wenatchee and what do you order?

AH: I don’t go out much, but when I do it’s usually to Chipotle. I get a burrito with brown rice, black beans, pico salsa, cheese and steak.

C: What is your favorite opposing arena to play at and why?

AH: I like Salmon Arm’s arena because their fans are crazy and it feels good to win there. They don’t like us very much.

C: What is something Coach Clarky has taught you since you joined the Wenatchee Wild?

Arvega Hovsepyan: Just to take it day-by-day and keep working hard, and play team-first hockey.
