I love ice cream most of the time but I find that I’m not drawn to it in the winter. This made me curious. How do other people feel about eating ice cream during a nice cold Wenatchee winter? So, I decided to find out and asked our audience their opinion.

The resounding answer was yes. Every single response on the air and on Facebook was yes. Mike on Facebook said (and I paraphrase) “if you eat it indoors, what's the difference what time of year it is”.

I also asked what your favorite flavor is and there I received lots of answers. Sherrie likes chocolate chip mint, Dave goes for chocolate fudge brownie or butter pecan, and Stan who happens to work for an ice cream distributor likes chocolate and vanilla. I went down the hall to ask the kids in the “Pop 40” station and Aly likes Ben & Jerry’s Woke and no Bake Coffee & peanut butter, Connor is straight-up chocolate.

My favorite ice cream can be found at the fruit stand that’s on the other side of 97a from my house. They are only open for the late spring through early fall but they have the best ice cream around and do cones, cups, and milkshakes. I always get wild huckleberry, rocky road, or pralines and cream.

Just for fun I went to get lunch at DQ and got a cherry dilly bar. I wanted to find out if it would last the six minutes it took me to get back to work. The answer is just barely.
