With Labor Weekend and summer now in the rearview mirror. I still notice lots of traffic on Blewett Pass. Lots of people from the Westside of the Cascades come over every single weekend. Volunteers are being asked to bring their own reusable trash bags to help clean up trash at the main beach near downtown Chelan, as well as two other high traffic beach areas.
The deepest lake in Washington is Lake Chelan. Lake Chelan is actually the third deepest lake in the United States, 1,486 feet deep! Even deeper than any of the Great Lakes, and 50.5 miles long.
By now most couples have either planned out where they’re going to spend their Valentine’s Day, or they’re currently checking availability at a fancy-like restaurant in town, in hopes that it’ll be another memorable evening. Or for the guys, at least some extra brownie points with their lady and not end up in the doghouse.
I was chatting with a listener on the request line who was heading home from work, looking forward to more snow to fall in the Wenatchee Valley. “Really?”, I asked. “Yes! The snow is beautiful!”, she replied. “I love it!” My jaw dropped, stunned. “Well…ah…ok.”
