The 1960s-era building on the east side of the airport is getting a major face lift to be the terminal that handles private small plane and jet traffic.
The airport has joined the coalition RESTORE, which intends to lobby in the U.S. Congress for the interests of Pangborn and other small community airports.
Travel to leisure markets in the western U.S. has rapidly picked up in the past three years with areas like Bend, Oregon getting much more airline service.
