Sea-Tac Named One of Three Worst Airports in America
After the height of the recent pandemic, I promised myself that I wouldn’t take for granted: Restaurants, seeing a sporting event in person, or flying in and out of airports.
I'm sure most of you have traveled to any of the three busiest airports in the Pacific Northwest: Sea-Tac, Vancouver International (British Columbia Canada), and Portland
A couple weeks back I wrote an article about What Makes a Person a ‘Local’ in the Wenatchee Valley. And I got some great answers from listeners. But one theme that I found interesting was there were places, names, and things that locals from Wenatchee…and quite frankly anyone in Washington State would say. In fact, that last sentence is example number one.
And then there are the airports I don’t mind having a layover. Now, don’t get me wrong. I prefer getting to my distanation as quickly (and safely) as possible. But, I don’t need the stress of trying to get off a plane to rush to the other side of the airport to catch that flight that leaves in 15 minutes while someone is struggling with getting their many gift bags out of the overhead binds.
It was one of the bigger stories here in the Wenatchee Valley in 2022. And it frustrated many trying to fly out of Pangborn Airport for business, family affairs, vacations, or for those who just enjoy sitting closely to others in very tiny uncomfortable seats on an airbus.
